Details Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes chest pain, hip/knee surgery, altered mental status, small bowel obstruction, UTI, respiratory distress, pancreatitis, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, CHF, sepsis, AKI, encephalopathy, ascites, COVID, and anemia Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-07:15) Every other weekend required No on-call requirements Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed Requirements Active GA or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required Copies of required certifications must be available for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this unit Locals accepted at the same rate Max RTO of 7 days, with RTO requests required at time of submission No RTO can be requested during the first week of the assignment If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested and the traveler must work the holiday(s) If three major holidays occur during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be reviewed for approval, with the traveler expected to work the other two Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts permitted; the posted shift is firm Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit Returning travelers must be away from all facility locations for one full year before returning Full compliance is required to start on time American Traveler Job ID P-750875.
