Project Manager II SUMMARY Mortenson is seeking a seasoned Project Manager II to provide overall leadership and direction for construction projects, ensuringhigh standardsof quality, safety, timeliness, and financial performance. This role requires a proactive, adaptable leader who can mentor teams, manage complex projects, and build strong client relationships through excellent service and communication. RESPONSIBILITIES ~ Lead project execution from design through completion, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget ~ Prepare proposals, support pursuit presentations, andparticipatein contract negotiations ~ Develop andmaintainaccurateproject financials, including projections, billing, and cost control ~ Allocate project estimates into financial systems and manage cost codes and invoicing ~ Oversee subcontractor and supplierselection, contract buyouts, and billing ~ Manage and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, including performance feedback anddevelopment ~ Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and on-site representatives, resolving concerns and fostering long-term relationships ~ Manage changeorders, ensuringtimelysubmission and approval ~ Ensure compliance with Mortenson’s safety, quality, and risk management standards ~ Promote an inclusive work environment and uphold Mortenson’s values and ethical standards ~ Provide leadership that supports team collaboration, accountability, and high performance QUALIFICATIONS ~ Bachelor’s degree in Construction , Civil, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience ~ Minimum 7 years of construction management experience on large-scale projects ($20M+) ~ Demonstrated success managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders ~ Strong financial acumen and experience with project budgeting and forecasting ~ Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software ~ Knowledge of construction law, business practices, and contract management ~ Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills ~ Ability to travel overnight up to 100% ~ Valid driver’s license A few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) ~ Medical and prescription drug plans thatincludesnoadditionalcost vision coverage ~ Dental plan ~401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson match ~ Paid time off, holidays, and other paid leaves ~ Employer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insurance ~ No-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resources ~ Tuition reimbursement ~ Adoption Assistance ~ Gym Membership Discount Program The base pay range for this role is$132,100 MIN - $198,200 MAX. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
