Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

This role focuses on assembling and installing ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, shelving units, and related components into vans. You will work with hand and power tools, follow diagrams similar to furniture assembly instructions, and begin by building cabinets before progressing to more complex installations. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional Saturday work during periods of high order volume.

• Assemble and install ladder racks, foot runners, partitions, shelving units, and related components into vans according to specifications.
• Pre-assemble shelving units and other components prior to installation to ensure efficient workflow.
• Build and assemble cabinets as an initial primary task, following detailed instructions and diagrams.
• Read and interpret diagrams and basic blueprints similar to those used for furniture assembly to complete mechanical assembly tasks accurately.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete mechanical assembly and installation work.
• Measure and mark materials using a tape measure to ensure accurate cuts, placements, and alignments.
• Perform general labor tasks related to mechanical assembly and production as needed.
• Inspect completed assemblies and installations for quality, accuracy, and proper fit within the vehicle.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage and handling of tools and materials.
• Follow all safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment, and report any hazards or issues to supervision.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and squatting throughout the shift.

• Proven experience or strong aptitude in mechanical assembly or related hands-on work.
• Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers safely and effectively.
• Proficiency with power tools used in mechanical assembly and installation work.
• Ability to read and follow diagrams and basic blueprints, including instructions similar to furniture assembly guides.
• Competence in using a tape measure accurately for measuring and marking materials.
• Strong interest in vehicles and mechanic-type work.
• Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift and perform physical activities including lifting, bending, twisting, and squatting.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and proper installation of components.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and using required personal protective equipment.

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, production, or general labor environments.
• Familiarity with working on or around vehicles or automotive equipment.
• Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and high-volume workloads, including occasional Saturday shifts.
• Strong work ethic and reliability in attendance and punctuality.

You will join a hands-on, practical work environment where you can apply and grow your mechanical skills while working with vehicles and custom installations. The schedule offers consistent daytime hours during the week, with opportunities for additional work during peak periods. You will work with supportive teammates, receive necessary protective equipment, and gain valuable experience in mechanical assembly and production work.

This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the potential for occasional Saturday work when order volume is high. The work takes place in a non-climate-controlled facility where you will perform hands-on mechanical assembly and installation tasks on vans. You will regularly use hand and power tools, tape measures, and other basic mechanical tools. The dress code requires steel-toe footwear, jeans or work pants, and a work shirt. Eye and ear protection, as well as gloves, are provided, while you are expected to bring your own basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and hammers. The role involves standing for long periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, twisting, and squatting in a production-style environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wentzville, MO.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Wentzville,MO.
