Role Description This full-time Interior Designer role at Virserius Studio is a hybrid position based in Charlottesville, VA, with some flexibility to work from home. The Interior Designer will participate in concept development, translating creative ideas into functional and visually compelling interior spaces for hospitality projects. Daily responsibilities include preparing design presentations, developing mood boards, selecting finishes and materials, and coordinating FF&E specifications. The role involves producing drawings and documentation in collaboration with architects and consultants, supporting space planning, and ensuring design intent is carried through construction. The Interior Designer will also assist with project coordination, client meetings, and communication with vendors to maintain quality and timelines. Qualifications Strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to create functional and engaging hospitality environments. Knowledge of Architecture and experience collaborating with architects and other design professionals. Proficiency in developing Construction Drawings and documentation that clearly communicate design intent. Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including materials, finishes, and furnishings. Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and basic MS Office skills. Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong visual communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with attention to detail and organization. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
