Staff Accountant

Bergen Cable Technology, Inc is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to join our finance team. Essential Job Functions Invoicing and Billing Perform the daily processing of accounts receivable transactions. Verify billing details, ensuring accuracy of product descriptions, quantities, and pricing. Payment Processing Code customer checks received and reconcile customer payments (cash applications) via the ERP accounting system (Infor Syteline). Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments and billings. Collections Monitor overdue accounts and contact customers to facilitate timely payment. Collaborate and coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Accounts Payable Coding and vouchering of vendor invoices received. Generate debit memos and discrepant material return forms. General Ledger Post and process journal entries Reconcile bank and general ledger accounts Support month-end and year-end closing process Prepare basic accounting reports and balance sheet schedules Other Ad-hoc Open, distribute, and process incoming mail daily. Requirements Associate's degree with concentration in accounting. Minimum 2 years' experience. Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
