Job Title: Medical Assistant – Pediatric Practice

Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary-to-Permanent

Pay Rate: $14.60 – $16.10 per hour (based on experience)

 

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in our pediatric practice. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where strong communication skills and attention to detail are of vital importance. The Medical Assistant will interact closely with patients and families to ensure accurate information gathering and efficient visit flow.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Clinical Support
• Room patients and gather medical histories related to the child’s visit
• Take and document vital signs
• Perform medication reconciliation and update records accordingly
• Chart patient information accurately and thoroughly in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
• Develop positive, professional relationships with patients and families
• Assist providers during patient visits as needed
• Support efficient clinical workflow in a high-paced environment
• Laboratory Support
• Assist in the in-office lab as needed
• Perform phlebotomy when required (phlebotomy experience preferred)

Important Role Clarifications

• This position does not have primary responsibility for answering phones or scheduling appointments
• EKGs are not performed in this office
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
• Experience in Pediatrics strongly preferred
