Duration: 15 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday–Friday | 45 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $22 – $24/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a Patient Support Specialist/Medical Assistant with strong front-office and patient support experience. Athena EMR experience is required.
Required Qualifications
2–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Athena EMR experience required.
PSS, PCT, or Medical Assistant experience accepted.
Strong front-office and patient support experience.
Strong customer service and computer skills.
Medical experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience is not required.
No specific educational requirement.
Responsibilities
Schedule and confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals.
Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
Greet patients and visitors and determine the purpose of their visit.
Check patients in and out.
Collect co-pays and ensure patients complete required privacy forms.
Compile and maintain medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
Assist with phones, voicemail, check-in, and patient scheduling.
Use Athena EMR for patient-related workflows and documentation.
Provide front-office administrative and patient support.
Support the clinical team with additional administrative duties as needed.
