What will I do as an MIT with Insomnia Cookies? Perform as Manager-on-Duty during scheduled shifts when the Store Operations Manager (GM) is not present. Supervise, train, and coach 2-5 team members engaged in cookie sales and customer deliveries. Lead onboarding and initial training for new hourly staff. Conduct initial interviews for potential new hires (Cookie Crew, Shift Leaders, and Delivery Drivers) in the manager's absence. Support Store Operations Manager with ordering, inventory control, and scheduling. Hold staff accountable to Insomnia Cookies' standards (baking, uniform, company policies, etc.). Ensure all team members excel in upselling and customer service. Desired skills and experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail store Experience conducting in-person interviews for hourly support staff Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Applicant Tracking Systems Ability to work a 4-5 day week with 1-2 mid-to-late shifts (Thurs-Sun) Must be 18 years or older and legally eligible to work in the U.S. About us: Insomnia Cookies was founded in a college dorm room by Seth Berkowitz.
