Since 1996, MSS has taken pride in retaining some of the best talents in the industry by promoting a culture of respect, collaboration, and empowerment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesAssist with all work related to HVAC/Mechanical/Industrial projects.Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the trade as needed.Vitaulic grooving machine, overhead hoists, & general pipe fitting toolsFollows all safety policies and proceduresCommunicate clearly with shop foreman and follow directionOther such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.RequirementsThree years of field pipefitting experience to include all of the following: soldering, brazing, threading pipe, grooving pipe, installing hangers as well as carbon steel pipe (up to 24")Must have own hand tools required for the positionMust be able to identify and install pipe grades and systemsAbility to read blueprintsPhysical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).Material Handling: lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 115 lbs. frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing the position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
