Interlachen Country Club is seeking a Seasonal Pastry Cook/Baker to join our Pastry Department!

Interlachen is proud to provide our culinary team with industry-leading tools, resources, and support. Join a healthy kitchen culture focused on mentorship and growth under the leadership of chefs from some of the top restaurants in the Twin Cities and beyond, including Restaurant Alma, Meritage, Travail, and The Ritz-Carlton. Daily production includes creating mini desserts for banquets, elegant plated desserts for wine dinners, layered laminations from scratch, and much more. Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Support our chefs and fellow team members with daily tasks.
• Bake and decorate pastry items for parties and events, a la carte, and banquets.
• Incorporate seasonal ingredients into every day production.
• Continuously work to improve your craft while always looking for more efficient techniques and new ways to raise our standards.
• Take pride in our food, treating every dish that goes out as your own.
• Support your fellow team members, both HOH and FOH, and contribute to a healthy, positive culture.

Ideal Qualifications and Attributes:

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• At least two years of baking and plating desserts
• Experience producing pastry items in a commercial kitchen from scratch
• Proficient food safety & sanitation knowledge

Availability: 

• This is a seasonal position from October through January

Salary, Benefits, and Perks:

• Competitive Compensation: $20-$22/hr.
