DISHWASHER (FULL TIME)

DISHWASHER Location: Illumina Headquarters, 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122 Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (details provided during interview). Pay Range: $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Referral Bonus: Internal employee referral bonus available. Job Summary Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, wash them by hand or place them in racks or on conveyor to the dishwashing machine according to assigned equipment; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation. Wash pots, pans, and trays following assigned procedures; confirm cleanliness and sanitation. Polish silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth as directed; ensure cleanliness and sanitation. Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures. Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as specified by standards. Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards. Sweep and mop kitchen floors to meet safety and sanitation standards. Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food‑prep surfaces. Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam‑clean or hose out garbage cans. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Help load and unload supplies and product. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Preferred: Two years of experience working in a fast‑paced restaurant. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Certain positions may require Florida Level2 background screening.
