Company Description Fort Bend Women’s Center has supported survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault since 1980, helping individuals and their children achieve safety and self-sufficiency. The organization operates the only dedicated domestic violence and sexual assault emergency shelter and crisis hotline in Fort Bend County and is the largest regional provider of non-residential services, including counseling, case management, advocacy, and other support services. It is also a major provider of housing programs, offering short- and long-term assistance to survivors primarily from Fort Bend and Harris counties, while welcoming any survivor in need. Fort Bend Women’s Center is recognized for innovative, evidence-informed approaches, such as mobile advocacy, motivational interviewing, positive reinforcement, neurofeedback training, and behavioral therapy for clients living with traumatic brain injury, PTSD, and other mental health conditions. The organization is currently the only agency providing these specialized treatments to domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in the region. Role Description The Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Richmond, TX, responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the organization’s retail store. This role includes managing staff schedules, supervising team members, and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment that aligns with the mission of Fort Bend Women’s Center. The Store Manager monitors inventory levels, manages merchandising and pricing, and ensures accurate cash handling and point-of-sale operations. The position also focuses on delivering excellent customer service, resolving issues, and promoting a positive shopping experience that supports the organization’s programs and services. The Store Manager tracks sales performance, implements strategies to meet revenue goals, enforces loss prevention procedures, and prepares regular reports for leadership. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Store Management skills, including staff supervision, scheduling, inventory oversight, and operational coordination. Candidates should possess Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to foster welcoming, respectful interactions and build lasting relationships with shoppers and donors. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with team members, interact with customers, and report to organizational leadership. Candidates should possess Retail Loss Prevention skills to safeguard assets, implement security procedures, and ensure adherence to policies. Candidates should ideally have prior experience in retail or thrift store management, including cash handling and point-of-sale systems. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to work in a mission-driven environment. Candidates should have a commitment to trauma-informed and non-judgmental practices when interacting with the community and survivors.
