Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) nurse position in a high-volume, high-census facility with a diverse patient population. The role involves providing high-risk obstetric care, postpartum treatment following delivery, and managing patients with complex needs such as postpartum hemorrhage and substance withdrawal. The position is for night shifts with flexible scheduling options.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with traveler choice between 3x12s or 4x12s shifts.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in high-risk obstetric care, including magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Foley catheter management, postpartum hemorrhage, and vaginal delivery. Valid compact nursing license in the state of practice is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with JADA, substance withdrawal management, and proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details:
  • High-risk obstetric care, magnesium sulfate administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, and postpartum care for four couples.
  • Experience with JADA for substance withdrawal management is preferred.
  • Involves handling high acuity patients and managing census surges.
• Float: Float rotation may be required at specific campuses, including postpartum and labor & delivery units.
• Additional Information:
  • Must be flexible to work 3 out of 5 major holidays and adhere to scheduled RTO requests.
  • Candidates must commit to working night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
  • Previous charge experience and EPIC system proficiency are required.
  • References covering at least one year within the last three years are required.
  • Must have worked at a Providence facility previously, with specific licensing and experience requirements.
