CDE offers these opportunities to faculty, staff, students, and the community. The Opportunity The Office of Civil Discourse and Engagement at UCF is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to play a key role in advancing the CIVIC (Civil Interactions and Viewpoints for Interpersonal Competence) initiative, an innovative, grant‑funded effort focused on strengthening civil discourse across campus. This position will lead the implementation of high‑impact programs that support student learning, faculty development, and campus‑wide engagement around meaningful dialogue and civic participation. This role is ideal for a collaborative and forward‑thinking professional who thrives in building programs from the ground up and navigating complex, multi‑stakeholder environments. The successful candidate will bring strong program management experience, a passion for civil discourse and student success, and the ability to translate ideas into scalable, impactful initiatives that advance UCF's commitment to meaningful engagement. Manage the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of the student onboarding civil discourse module, including tracking completion. Provide support for faculty development initiatives integrating civil discourse competencies into redesigned courses through learning modules and other student‑facing materials. Coordinate the integration of civil discourse competencies within the Work+ framework by partnering with Career Services and Work+ leadership to embed CIVIC content into supervisor training resources and student‑facing learning modules; coordinate civil discourse related supervisor coaching activities and monitor completion of associated student and supervisor assessments. Provide support for project communications, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination, including website updates, campus messaging, and materials for external partners or peer institutions. Provide support for project evaluation activities by collecting performance data, maintaining dashboards, preparing interim and annual reports, and ensuring alignment with project goals and legislative expectations. Perform other grant‑related duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the project. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6). Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education, nonprofit, or public sector environments, including student success initiatives, training, or curriculum development. Professional experience in civil discourse, dialogue facilitation, civic engagement, or conflict resolution initiatives. Demonstrated success managing complex programs, with a proven ability to manage timelines, workflows, and collaboration across internal teams to advance project goals. Experience supporting or managing grant‑funded programs, including compliance, reporting, and deliverables. Experience with program evaluation, assessment, or data reporting. Familiarity with instructional design tools or Learning Management Systems (e.g., Canvas or similar platforms). Proven ability to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design and develop professional development content rooted in civil discourse competencies.
