MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating MRI machines efficiently while ensuring patient comfort and safety during scanning procedures. Effective coordination with physicians to deliver timely diagnostic results is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ease anxiety.
• Insert IVs as required for the tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Assist in patient care tasks as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required).
• Experience with GE scanners is mandatory.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred.
• ARRT certification is strongly preferred.
• New York State Rad Tech license (willingness to obtain if not currently held).
• Injection certification required.

Schedule

This position follows a 5x8 schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10 PM - 6:30 AM, including holidays as needed.
