Nurse Shift Supervisor

The Lutheran Home is hiring a full-time Nurse Shift Supervisor to join our healthcare team. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing operations during evening and overnight hours , provide clinical guidance and support to staff, and help ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure proper staffing for each unit, adjusting for call-ins
• Review complaints filed by staff or residents
• Assist with medication passes and treatments when needed
• Function as a clinical resource for all nursing areas
• Monitor and help defuse emotional situations involving residents, families, visitors, or staff
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Display role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding resident and staff safety
• Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and safe care by monitoring processes and outcomes throughout the healthcare community
• Provide leadership, coaching, and problem-solving support for nursing staff during assigned hours

This is a full-time evening/night position. Scheduled hours will be discussed during the interview process based on the needs of the nursing department.

Education and Requirements:

• Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the State of Missouri
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience
• Long-term care and/or supervisory experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
