QA Lab Specialist

Solomon Page is partnering with a leading global retailer to hire a QA Lab Specialist for an onsite contract opportunity in Columbus, OH. This role supports the Quality & Manufacturing team through product audits, sample management, quality investigations, and laboratory operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has experience working in a quality, laboratory, manufacturing, or warehouse environment. The QA Lab Specialist plays a key role in maintaining quality standards by supporting product evaluations, audits, investigations, and laboratory processes. This position works closely with Quality Engineers and cross-functional partners to ensure products, samples, and quality records are managed accurately and efficiently.

• Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
• Contract: ASAP – January 2027
• Hours: 40/week
• Pay Rate: $20.69/hour

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine product audits and document findings in quality systems.
• Support product inspections, evaluations, and quality investigations.
• Process products released from Quality Management (QM) hold status.
• Manage first production samples, retained samples, and reference materials.
• Assist with root cause investigations by gathering samples, data, and documentation.
• Enter quality notifications and related information into SAP.
• Maintain laboratory records, tracking systems, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments, product samples, and laboratory materials.
• Support laboratory organization, inventory management, and sample disposition activities.
• Assist with product sorting, rework efforts, and containment actions as needed.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in a quality, laboratory, manufacturing, warehouse, or related environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Experience with quality systems, audits, inspections, or sample management.
• Experience using SAP or other quality management software.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, distribution, or quality control processes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move product samples and materials.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform routine lab and warehouse activities.
• Comfortable handling a high volume of samples and reference materials.
