Data Analyst

Location: Charlotte, NC (100% Remote)

Duration: 6+ months Contract

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data within the Azure cloud platform to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. This role involves working with various stakeholders to understand data requirements, querying data, and creating visualizations. The candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, experience with Azure services, and proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools.

Responsibilities:

Analyze data stored in Azure data platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden relationships and anomalies within the data.
Write SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and manipulate data for analysis and reporting purposes.
Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through compelling visualizations and presentations.
Utilize Azure data services such as Azure SQL Warehouse, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Analysis Services for data analysis and reporting.
Optimize data queries and processing workflows for performance and efficiency.
Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation checks and monitoring data accuracy.
Adhere to data governance policies and standards to maintain data security and compliance.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
Work closely with data engineers and other team members to ensure data availability and accessibility.
