Location: Charlotte, NC (100% Remote)

Duration: 6+ months Contract

We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing data within the Azure cloud platform to provide actionable insights and support decision-making processes. This role involves working with various stakeholders to understand data requirements, querying data, and creating visualizations. The candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, experience with Azure services, and proficiency in data manipulation and visualization tools.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze data stored in Azure data platforms such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Synapse Analytics to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden relationships and anomalies within the data.
• Write SQL queries and scripts to extract, transform, and manipulate data for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Communicate findings and insights to stakeholders through compelling visualizations and presentations.
• Utilize Azure data services such as Azure SQL Warehouse, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Analysis Services for data analysis and reporting.
• Optimize data queries and processing workflows for performance and efficiency.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation checks and monitoring data accuracy.
• Adhere to data governance policies and standards to maintain data security and compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Work closely with data engineers and other team members to ensure data availability and accessibility.
