Through arts education programming, our mission is to encourage youth to use their gifts and strengths by applying the arts and leadership as tools, to help promote success and balance in their lives.Position Summary: Under the direction of the Chief of Innovation and the Founder/President, the Director of Finance & Accounting would be responsible and accountable for all aspects of the financial framework, and fiscal landscape of the organization.Position Responsibilities:Oversee financial operations of the organizationConduct weekly and monthly financial assessments and generate reports to be submitted to the executive teamEstablish and review budgetsDevelop annual financial plans and projections for the organizationConduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiativesCollaborate with the Board of Directors and the Executive Team to create a fund development plan which increases revenues to support the strategic direction of the organization Evaluates reports, decisions and results of organization initiatives in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performedEngage the Board of Directors to develop short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans and projectionsRemain up-to-date on nonprofit audit best practices and state and federal laws regarding nonprofit operationsMonitor and evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure that the fundraising goals are being achievedPrepare for and present financial information for grant or audits or fiscal reviews as neededAccomplishes special project results by identifying and clarifying issues and priorities; communicating and coordinating requirements; expediting fulfillment; evaluating milestone accomplishments; evaluating optional courses of action; changing assumptions and direction.Supports management by providing human resources advice, counsel, and decisions; analyzing information and applications.Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements.Develop goals and action plans that are in alignment with the organization.Requirements:Preferred Qualifications:7+ years' financial management experienceStrong knowledge of project-based accounting softwareImpeccable mathematics and analytical skillsAble to meet tight deadlines and work evenings as neededExcellent computer skillsAbility to operate computers and possess basic knowledge of MS Windows, Microsoft Word and other software.Excellent supervision, managerial, and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills.Positive attitude, high level of professionalism, enthusiasm and customer serviceAttention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesRegular and consistent attendanceMay be subject to personal credit checkMust perform duties with moderate direction given, operating from established directions and instructions.
