Job Description

The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Rheumatologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join our Division of Rheumatology. This position offers the opportunity to practice the full scope of rheumatology in a collaborative, academically focused environment.

Position details:
• Outpatient rheumatology practice with a broad range of autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions
• Inpatient consult service responsibilities
• Participation in multidisciplinary clinics and care models
• Exposure to complex and diverse rheumatologic diseases
• Robust academic environment with opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows
• Opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or translational research
• Collaborative care model with APPs, nurses, and support staff

We are looking for candidates with the following:
• MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in rheumatologic disease management
• Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
• Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
• Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
• Dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse populations
