Responsibilities include design, build, testing, training and support of assigned applications. In addition, the Specialist is responsible for facilitating issue resolution, providing alternative solutions to problems and proactively enhancing application design and implementation. The focus of this position is to exploit the capabilities of SharePoint or set of applications through the expert use of appropriate technology and available functionality and to improve operating efficiencies. The Specialist is expected to assist with the development of other employees to grow their SharePoint skills.This role will be supporting users across the organization with SharePoint and creation of innovative solutions on the platform, key participant in defining the framework for the future state of the enterprise intranet.This is a hybrid role tied to our Southlake, TX office. This position requires 2 weeks of on-site presence per quarter, at our Southlake, TX office. This may be scheduled as non-consecutive days based on operational needs. What You'll DoBe the go-to problem solver for advanced SharePoint issues—when others hit a wall, you’ll find the way through.Serve as the primary escalation point for SharePoint support issues, resolving complex technical challenges quickly and effectively.Administer and maintain SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, workflows, and integrations.Shape the platform’s future by designing and implementing new features, workflows, and integrations that make life easier for hundreds of users.Drive the new cohesive intranet framework creationEnsure ongoing alignment of new SharePoint resources to the frameworkPartner with business leaders to translate needs into smart, scalable SharePoint solutions—whether that’s a custom dashboard, automated approval process, or secure document repository.Keep things running flawlessly by monitoring performance, managing permissions, and ensuring compliance with governance and security standards.Empower others by creating clear documentation, running training sessions, and championing best practices.Lead impactful projects—from migrating legacy content to rolling out new collaboration tools—always with an eye on user experience.Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Provides expert support, coordination and enhancement of the Microsoft SharePoint platform and associated interfaces.Responsible for security aspects of the SharePoint platform: access control management, audits, remediation, and education of the user community as needed.Establishes and maintains contacts with third party vendors for functional and technical support as required.Determine SharePoint needs by studying the business (interviewing business leads and SME’s), gathering information/requirements and documenting/evaluating the use cases to find the best-fit solutions.Effectively and efficiently manage both guided and ad-hoc SharePoint projects. This includes monitoring the project progress by tracking activity, problem points, and compliance, while publishing scheduled progress reportsCreates and updates design specification packages and training materials as needed for assigned SharePoint projectsManages/Coordinates and conducts testing (all types) for assigned projects. Updates test conditions based on application/functional design.Supervises system/integration testing, ensuring environment setup, scenario completion and documentation completion. Also ensures modifications/additions are made to documentation to incorporate changes in application design.Utilizes the enterprise standard ITSM system to document issues/calls and tracks resolution to completion and identifies system resolutions.Completes status reports timely without reminders.Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with users, management, and staff to promote an open line of communication. Communicates appropriate information including status, schedule variances and outstanding issues.Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business or appropriate field. Without benefit of a degree, equivalent on-the-job or technical training and progressive experience may be acceptable.Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years of SharePoint administration and related development experience in an enterprise environment. Specific experience with creation of a corporate intranet on the SharePoint platform and leading the rollout project.What You'll Bring5+ years of hands-on experience supporting and administering SharePoint Online / on-prem.Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, permissions models, content types, and site templates.Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Teams integrations.Experience with troubleshooting using ULS logs, browser developer tools, and PowerShell scripting.A knack for listening to non-technical business leaders needs then translating this to SharePoint solutions while also translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly explanations.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventing issues before they arise.Bonus: Experience with migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Metalogix) and governance frameworks.Performance Requirements:Maintains positive relationships and is effective in interacting with external customers.Proactive in meeting customers’ needs.
