Requisition ID: 16005ERP Eligible?: YesERP amount: $50 LMRecognitionRelocation: PossibleType: LeaderShift: 1Clearance Prior to Start: SecretFinal Clearance: SecretPay Transparency: $123,400.00 - $229,200.00Experience Level: Experienced ProfessionalFT/PT/Casual: FullTimeDepartment: LM Aeronautics Co- PalmdaleBusiness Unit: LM Aeronautics Co- PalmdaleStandard Job DescriptionLockheed Martin's Palmdale Fabrication, Assembly, and Tooling Department is seeking a Multifunctional Production Manager.The Multifunctional Production Manager is responsible for:Leading multiple manufacturing functions and their associated leadership teams to execute production requirements safely, efficiently, and on schedule.Providing strategic and day‑to‑day leadership to manufacturing supervisors and associate managers while developing a highly engaged, accountable, and continuously improving workforce.Establishing operating priorities, allocating resources, forecasting manpower, managing production capacity, and driving execution against program commitments.Partnering closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and other functional organizations to resolve technical and operational constraints and ensure successful execution of production plans.Using production data, business metrics, and Lean Manufacturing principles to identify performance gaps, eliminate constraints, improve flow, reduce cost, and enhance schedule performance.Leading organizational change and developing standardized operating processes that improve predictability and sustain results.Building strong relationships across functions and levels of the organization, and communicating priorities clearly.Developing subordinate leaders and establishing a culture of ownership, accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement.Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.Experience leading through supervisors, managers, and multiple layers of leadership.Experience owning and improving Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People performance across a complex organization.Demonstrated experience developing and executing manufacturing strategies aligned with business, program, and customer objectives.Demonstrated ability to establish operating priorities, allocate resources, and make trade‑off decisions across competing business needs.Experience managing production performance through metrics, operating reviews, escalation processes, and corrective‑action plans.Desired SkillsMinimum 10 years of manufacturing production, operations, or related experience.Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast‑paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities and significant business impact.Aerospace Composite fabrication experienceExperience managing multiple manufacturing technologies and production disciplinesDemonstrated experience leading a represented/union workforceExperience with SFM or comparable manufacturing execution systems.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $123400.00 - $229200.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
