As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this unarmed role, you will support access awareness and site operations while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a dynamic technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site policies, assisting with badge verification and other security-related screening procedures as directed.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating clearly with employees, guests, and/or vendors, following post orders, and escalating maintenance, policy, or security-related issues when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
