HVAC Technician

About the Role Field‑based: Work is conducted on‑site at customers’ locations. The primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base including healthcare, process manufacturing facilities, education institutions, and office complexes. Responsibilities Coordinate with team leader/project manager and customer to precisely understand required on‑site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing on‑site work. Represent the company as the direct customer contact and be responsible for products and equipment on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location. Use cutting‑edge software and technology, along with a variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units. Maintain flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as the business requires. Enforce safety to the highest standards and maintain security, accountability of company‑issued assets by recording use, wear and conditions. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; 5+ years of HVAC experience typically; technical school or formal training preferred. Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with a handheld computer (smartphone, iPad). Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the prior 3 years (e.g., DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless or careless driving, multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions). EPA certification. Compensation Hourly base pay range: $35.31 to $43.85. Compensation may vary with seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation. Incentive and sales commission are not offered.
