Bay Area Foot Care Podiatrist OpportunityBay Area Foot Care is a leading podiatry practice in the Bay Area dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. We have 15 convenient locations in the East Bay, North Bay, San Francisco, and Peninsula.Bay Area Foot Care is looking for a bilingual Spanish-speaking podiatrist to join our team. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.Responsibilities Include:Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseasesTreat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and anklesPerform Wound Care managementDiagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test resultsPrescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgeryAdvise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problemsProvide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care teamProvide health promotion and preventive medicineMaintain appropriate medical records on assigned patientsRequirements:Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progressKnowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical careKnowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformitiesAbility to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor populationFluent in SpanishBe proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR databaseEducation and Experience:Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferredCurrent License as a Podiatrist in the State of CaliforniaDoctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of PodiatryCompletion of an accredited podiatric residency programBenefits of Working with Bay Area Foot Care:Medical, Dental, and Vision PlansHSA with Employer ContributionFSAGenerous PTO Program401k with a 4% MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramLife and AD&D InsuranceShort-Term and Long-Term Disability
