Job Description

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of a physician, the Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer performs cardiac ultrasound procedures to generate diagnostically accurate images. The role requires technical proficiency, independent judgment, and adherence to clinical protocols to assist physicians in patient diagnosis and care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform cardiac ultrasound exams following established clinical protocols and physician orders.
• Assist cardiologists or physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety and image accuracy.
• Maintain current licensure and certifications, ensuring compliance with state and professional standards.
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and ultrasound equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
• Review patient information and requisitions to confirm appropriate procedures and documentation for billing.
• Collaborate with staff to provide compassionate patient care and support documentation within the electronic health record.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited sonography program required.
• ARDMS or CCI cardiac ultrasound certification within 12 months of hire preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with ultrasound procedures.
• Must possess a valid NH State License and maintain current credentials.
