Principal Scientist - Computational Cancer Immunology

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Principal Scientist in Computational Cancer Immunology to lead single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analyses for oncology discovery programs. The role involves designing computational workflows, integrating multi-omics data, and generating therapeutic hypotheses to support cancer immunology research across the drug discovery pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Lead single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analyses for discovery cancer immunology programs as subject matter expert
• Design and execute end-to-end scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomics analyses, including cell typing, differential analysis, and spatial neighborhood characterization
• Integrate single-cell and spatial data with complementary modalities to build translational data packages for target identification
• Partner with biologists and translational teams on experimental design, target validation, and mechanism-of-action hypotheses
• Develop reproducible, documented analysis workflows and pipelines; mentor junior computational scientists and influence cross-functional teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years computational biology/bioinformatics experience, or Master's with 6+, or PhD with 4+
• Deep expertise in single-cell transcriptomics with proven ability to execute end-to-end scRNA-seq analyses
• Hands-on experience with spatial transcriptomics data from commercial platforms
• Advanced proficiency in R or Python and associated bioinformatics packages
• Experience analyzing multi-omics and high-dimensional molecular data (bulk RNA-seq, proteomics, flow cytometry, genomics)
• Track record of collaborative work with biologists and translational scientists in discovery settings
