Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager

A Full service Commercial Industrial mechanical HVAC contractor is seeking a mechanical estimator. This position offers a great opportunity to build a future as the head of the mechanical division. The position focuses on hydronics’ and HVAC. This position is for a turnkey individual to take the process form the beginning to the end. Essential job functions: Create, locate and sell bidding opportunities. Prepare Mechanical cost estimates for mechanical projects. Work with all other divisions to formulate project scope and estimates. Work directly with owners, GC’s, and engineers. Maintain required work force for Mechanical division. Manage projects from beginning to end Qualifications: Minimum 10+ years’ experience of estimating experience on HVAC, piping projects, heavy equipment installation, and process piping. Design / Build estimating experience. Strong proficiency in Windows including email and Microsoft office software. Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment or independently, flexibility to adapt to changing needs/situations. Ability to effectively communicate with people at different levels of the organization. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Ability to track multiple projects at the same time. Ability to manage personnel in the field and manage projects. Type of projects we focus on: Chiller Installations new and replacement.
