Busser (Part-Time) – The Roof Restaurant | $18–$22/hr Work at One of Salt Lake City’s Most Iconic Hospitality Destinations! Located inside the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square, The Roof Restaurant offers an unforgettable dining experience in one of the most beautiful venues in Utah. From upscale dining at The Roof Restaurant overlooking the Salt Lake Valley to elegant banquets and celebrations, our team delivers exceptional hospitality, outstanding food, and memorable guest experiences. We’re looking for Busser who are passionate professionals and take pride in their craft, contributing to a team known for excellence. Part-time | 20-30 hours/week | 3-5 shifts WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT HERE: • Opportunity to earn ($18–$22/hr) including tips • Work in one of Utah’s most recognized upscale restaurants • Flexible and consistent scheduling with Sunday’s off! • Opportunity for growth and advancement within the organization WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Clear tables promptly and efficiently by removing dishes, glassware, and utensils • Reset tables to restaurant standards including proper placements of linens, silverware, and glassware • Assist servers by refilling water glasses and providing guest support when needed • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, side stations, and service areas • Assist with polishing silverware, glassware, and restocking supplies • Supports servers and runners during high-volume service periods • Assist with private events, large parties, and busy service shifts • Contribute to a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and guest-focused service • Preform additional duties as assigned WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Strong work ethic and the ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment • Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards • Consistent reliability and punctuality • Professional demeanor with a guest-focused mindset JOB ENVIRONMENT/OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS: • May be required to work outside of regular business hours, including weekends, early mornings, and holidays, to accommodate business needs • Standing and walking for extended periods of time • Ability to repetitively bend, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check, as well as abide by all company policies • Takes on additional duties as required or assigned by management COMPENSATION: $7.00/hr + Tips (Top bussers can earn $18-$22/hr depending on shift availability, guest volumes, and individual performance). This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data. Its history traces back to the prestigious Hotel Utah, which was built in 1911. After 76 years as a hotel, the building closed for renovations and reopened in 1993 as a social center. In remodeling the building, the beloved attributes of service, hospitality and quality that graced the hotel were lovingly preserved in The Joseph Smith Memorial Building. In 1988, Temple Square Hospitality was organized to service the dining needs of those visiting Temple Square and Salt Lake City. Since then, it has grown into a full-scale catering department, a fine-dining 10th floor restaurant, and a quick-service restaurant in the lobby of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. The company's primary objective is to deliver an outstanding food and service experience to all guests, thereby creating lasting memories between family and friends.
