Rehab Therapy - Physical Therapist
Location Richmond, VA
Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7 AM and 5 PM; weekends will rotate.
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to join our rehab therapy team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting, with a preference for those with inpatient rehabilitation and stroke evaluation and treatment experience.
Responsibilities Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients. Implement therapy interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional activities. Conduct neuromuscular re-education and self-care training. Utilize advanced equipment such as Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, and Bioness during therapy sessions. Document patient progress in the Meditech Expanse system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure 2 years of experience in a hospital setting required. Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, specifically with stroke patients preferred. Must hold a valid PT license in the state of Virginia.
