Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Oracle APEX Developer to design and build new enterprise applications using Oracle APEX, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, PL/SQL and SQL.




The consultant will develop APEX pages, forms, reports, dashboards and workflows and integrate these applications with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and other enterprise systems. The ideal candidate must have strong end-to-end Oracle APEX development experience rather than primarily administrative or support experience.




Experience developing Oracle Integration Cloud integrations is highly preferred but is not the primary focus of this position.







Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy new enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.
• Build responsive APEX pages, forms, interactive reports, interactive grids, dashboards and charts.
• Develop application workflows, validations, approval processes, navigation and role-based functionality.
• Create and maintain APEX shared components, templates, lists of values, dynamic actions and reusable application components.
• Develop complex SQL queries, views, packages, procedures, functions, triggers and database APIs using PL/SQL.
• Design Oracle database tables, indexes, sequences, constraints and other database objects supporting APEX applications.
• Integrate Oracle APEX applications with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP.
• Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services for communication between APEX, Oracle Cloud ERP and external applications.
• Use Oracle REST Data Services to expose and consume secure REST APIs.
• Develop APEX integrations supporting Oracle Cloud ERP business processes and data across Financials, Procurement, HCM or other applicable modules.
• Build file-upload, data-validation, error-handling and transaction-monitoring capabilities within APEX applications.
• Develop secure authentication, authorization and role-based access controls.
• Deploy and support APEX applications within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Configure and use OCI services required for application hosting, database connectivity, security, storage and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot application performance, SQL execution, PL/SQL errors, integrations and production issues.
• Optimize APEX pages, database queries and PL/SQL processes for performance and scalability.
• Prepare technical designs, database models, integration mappings, deployment documents and production-support procedures.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support.
• Work with business users and Oracle ERP functional teams to translate requirements into practical APEX solutions.
• Follow secure development, code-review, source-control and release-management practices.

17. Experience with Oracle REST Data Services.
18. Strong troubleshooting, debugging and performance-tuning skills.
19. Ability to work remotely during Eastern Time Zone business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud.
• Experience with the Oracle ERP Cloud Adapter, REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI and scheduled integrations.
• Experience integrating APEX with Oracle Cloud ERP Financials, Procurement or HCM.
• Experience with OCI Autonomous Database or Autonomous Transaction Processing.
• Knowledge of OCI Identity and Access Management, Object Storage, Vault and monitoring services.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS and responsive APEX user-interface development.
• Experience supporting production applications and resolving critical business issues.

Important
This role is primarily for an experienced Oracle APEX application developer. OIC experience is a strong advantage, but the consultant must possess substantial hands-on expertise designing and building new applications using Oracle APEX, OCI, PL/SQL and SQL.
