- Craft Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and establish personalized therapy strategies designed to help them meet their functional objectives.
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Use evidence-based practices to boost patients' motor function, cognitive abilities, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in concert with other OTs, PTs, STs, medical practitioners, and nursing staff to guarantee thorough and holistic care.
- Educate Patients and Caregivers: Provide guidance to patients and their families regarding therapeutic methodologies to ensure continuity of progress at home.
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical results and fine-tune treatment approaches when necessary to maintain patient progress.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Ongoing education and post-graduate certifications are encouraged and supported.
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license.
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is a prerequisite.
