Orthodontic Dental Assistant (Full-Time)

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Orthodontic Dental Assistant who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This is a full-time position supporting our offices in Tampa, St. Pete, Largo, and Palmetto. Travel between locations is required and scheduled in advance.

What You’ll Do:

Clinical Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of treatment procedures
• Take diagnostic records, including photos, panoramic x-rays, and cephalometric x-rays
• Perform clinical procedures such as archwire changes, fitting bands, and delivering orthodontic appliances
• Take impressions for study models and ensure accurate treatment records

Patient Care

• Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and communication with patients and team members

Operations & Team Support

• Prepare and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical notes using electronic health record systems
• Support daily clinical flow to ensure an efficient, on-time patient experience

What We’re Looking For:

• Orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred
• Experience with x-rays and dental imaging
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and stay focused in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic
• Willingness to travel between locations (Tampa, St. Pete, Largo, Palmetto)
