This position is a PRN position and has the opportunity to cover patients at all Inova Hospitals allowing for up to 40 hours per week coverage if there is a coverage need. We are also proud to be consistently recognized as a top employer in both the D.C. metro area and the nation./ppstrongInova PRN Benefits and Perks:/strong/pulliState-of-the-art medical and training facilities/liliRetirement benefits with match from day one/liliFree Parking to all employees/liliExclusive savings opportunities to in-store events, theme parks, discounts, movie tickets and local offerings and so much more!/li/ulpstrongRegistered Dietitian Job Responsibilities:/strong/pulliThe Dietitian Registered provides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner./liliProvides clinical services and act as a resource to physicians, nurses and other professional healthcare team members, to provide patients with optimum nutritional care./liliPerforms a comprehensive assessment by interpreting multiple, sometimes conflicting, data and synthesizing their interrelationships./liliFormulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice./liliAnticipates nutritional intervention issues, monitors patient tolerance to nutrition therapy and responds when standards of nutrition care recommend changes./liliCoordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient./liliCommunicates with the healthcare team members, patients and families to maximize patient outcomes./liliCollaborates with the multidisciplinary team to increase practice knowledge and incorporate that knowledge into the nutrition plan of care./liliProvides education to physicians, residents, nurses and other healthcare providers to optimize nutrition therapy outcomes./liliIncorporates research findings into nutrition practice standards, develops/revises patient education programs and participates in the development and revision of patient education materials./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./li/ulpstrongMinimum Requirements:/strong/pulliEducation: Bachelors degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a masters degree/liliCertification: ulliRegistered Dietitian (RD) required within 3 months of hire/liliBasic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 3 months of hire/li/ul/li/ulpstrongPreferred Requirements:/strong/pulliInpatient experience/lilicompletion of a Dietetic internship/li/ul/div
