Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at Bonneville Peak Rehab and Wellness Center. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding our patients towards regaining their mobility, enhancing their functional capabilities, and improving their overall quality of life. Serving a diverse patient population primarily covered by private medical insurance, you will employ evidence-based practices to create personalized care plans that foster recovery and well-being.

Located in Sacramento, California, our facility is a state-of-the-art sports medicine center encompassing over 5,000 square feet of space dedicated to outpatient therapy. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all working collaboratively in a supportive environment that prioritizes innovation and excellence in patient care.
Work Environment
Our outpatient office is designed to provide an inviting and efficient space where therapy can be conducted seamlessly. With a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, therapists enjoy a structured workday that allows for focused patient interactions. The facility is equipped with advanced therapeutic technologies and tools that enhance treatment efficacy and patient engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized treatment plans that address specific objectives and functional limitations.
- Manage a therapeutic workload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour to ensure quality care and optimal outcomes.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities tailored to address orthopedic injuries.
- Continuously assess patient progress, document interventions, and modify care plans as necessary to enhance mobility and function.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management, including consultations with physicians and specialists.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term health and prevent future injuries.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and treatment provided using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will primarily involve working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will engage with individuals seeking to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, and overall functional ability, while focusing on alternatives to surgical interventions when possible.
Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is required.
- Must be a licensed Physical Therapist with a clean record, free from board actions or disciplinary measures.
- Demonstrates proficiency in manual therapy techniques and is skilled in creating and implementing tailored exercise regimens.
- Strong ability to navigate and utilize EMR software, specifically WebPT, to document and track patient progress.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
- Experience in providing patient education and crafting customized wellness programs.
- Familiarity with cost-effective treatment strategies that reduce reliance on medications or invasive procedures is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
