About This Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to lead our 2s and 3s classroom at our private, faith-based preschool in Spartanburg, SC. As a proud program with consecutive, year-over-year 5-star ratings from Spartanburg Quality Counts, we are committed to upholding the highest standards of early childhood excellence. In this role, you will enjoy smaller class sizes that allow for deeply personalized care and low student-to-teacher ratios. You will guide toddlers through critical milestones by blending faith-focused character building, play-based learning, and regular enrichment in our dedicated outdoor learning center.

• Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that encourage exploration, creativity, and spiritual and language development.
• Utilize our specialized outdoor learning center daily to lead nature-inspired exploration, physical development, and play-based environmental discovery.
• Leverage our smaller class sizes to provide individualized focus, tracking developmental milestones and supporting children closely with social skills, emotional regulation, and potty training.
• Maintain the exceptional standards required of a 5-star Quality Counts facility, including participating in continuous quality loop assessments and professional development.
• Build strong, collaborative relationships with families through daily updates and regular progress communications.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards, and safety and security of children.

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent; child development coursework preferred.
• At least one year of professional experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare setting. 
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive South Carolina background check, fingerprinting, and central registry check.
• Current CPR and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them within 30 days of hire.

• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Prior experience teaching in a faith-based early childhood environment or incorporating spiritual foundations into daily care. 
• Familiarity with Spartanburg Quality Counts Guidelines.
