Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shifts available: 3x12 hour shifts, either Day (07:00 - 19:00) or Night (19:00 - 07:00).

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) will provide quality care for expectant mothers and newborns. The nurse will carry out patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement necessary nursing interventions to ensure safe and effective labor and delivery. This role requires a compassionate approach and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patient conditions during labor and delivery.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
• Provide education and support to expectant mothers and their families.
• Document patient information and care provided in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Respond to emergencies, performing interventions as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current RN license, ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications are required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Knowledge of obstetric procedures and interventions.
