Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

• Designs and develops new or derivative versions of interior furnishings and amenities including custom cabinetry, galleys, lavatories, vanities, closets, and storage compartments.

• Designs interior peripheries including cabin liners, window panels, passenger service units (PSUs), dado panels, and side ledges.

• Designs miscellaneous systems including water and waste systems, oxygen systems, and seating.

• Builds models and prints demonstrating complete understanding of construction methodologies for component parts and assemblies to end item level.

• Designs installations for interior commodities along with necessary airframe modifications to meet load requirements.

• Performs Weight and Center of Gravity Analysis for interior installations.

• Uses CATIA V5 interconnected with SmarTeam for creation of drawings and models.

• Liaises with Operations, Suppliers, Procurement, Quality, and other departments on engineering issues related to design and validation.

• Performs assembly and installation, similarity, mounting, and functionality analysis for configurations developed.

• Applies design standards consistent with company standards and accepted design methods to meet manufacturing, quality, and schedule requirements.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or technical related curriculum applicable to the respective job position, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 10 years in specific technical discipline or 15 years broad engineering experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelor's degree.

• Experience credit for related advanced degrees limited to 2 years for Masters and 4 years for PhD in fields applicable to this job.

• Experience with Part 25 aircraft and familiarity with Part 135 requirements.

• Experience with custom cabinetry, galleys, lavatories, vanities, closets, and storage compartments.

• Experience with cabin liners, window panels, PSUs, dado panels, and side ledges.

• Experience with CATIA V5 and SmarTeam for design and modeling.

• Experience with weight and center of gravity analysis for aircraft interiors.

• Experience designing installations with airframe modifications to meet load requirements.
