Sunquest Analyst and Testing Consultant | Location: Remote | Contract

We are seeking a Sunquest Analyst and Testing Consultant to join a dynamic healthcare technology environment focused on laboratory information systems. This role involves executing comprehensive testing, validation, and defect management to ensure system accuracy and regulatory compliance across clinical laboratory workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test scripts, test cases, and validation plans for Sunquest LIS workflows, including Core Lab, Blood Bank, and Microbiology modules.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of laboratory modules, interfaces, and middleware integrations.
• Validate test results, reference ranges, flags, and workflows to ensure clinical accuracy and compliance.
• Support defect tracking, triage, and resolution coordination with vendors and internal teams.
• Ensure testing activities align with CAP, CLIA, and organizational validation requirements.
• Maintain documentation for audit readiness, including test evidence and validation traceability.
• Validate system configurations such as orderables, panels, result structures, instrument interfaces, and downstream systems like Epic.
• Collaborate with laboratory SMEs, IT application teams, and vendors to coordinate testing efforts.
• Participate in test cycles, status updates, and issue resolution meetings, maintaining clear communication of testing progress and risks.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Sunquest LIS, preferably Clinisys Sunquest
• Strong experience in LIS testing, validation, and QA methodologies
• Hands-on experience with laboratory workflows, interface/instrument testing, and system upgrades or implementations
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and structured testing processes
• Ability to support system validation in regulated environments such as clinical laboratories

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Sunquest upgrades or multi-site implementations
• Knowledge of Blood Bank validation workflows
• Understanding of clinical regulatory requirements such as CAP and CLIA
