Our organization is currently seeking an Interventional Cardiologist to join the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) in Phoenix, Arizona. As a site for Cardiology fellowship and Internal Medicine residency rotations, we collaborate with the University of Arizona and Dignity Health on VA-led research initiatives. Our state-of-the-art research facilities include the Million Veterans Program, a pioneering study aimed at enhancing Veteran care and advancing medical science. Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: Competitive pay, along with an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
• Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and potentially 5 days of paid absence for Continuing Medical Education (CME).

Employment Requirements

• Possession of a Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic institution.
• Licensure: Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, maintaining it as current and active.
• U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be appointed if qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA Policy.
• Subject to a background and security investigation.

**Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan repayment program. Specific eligibility criteria must be met in accordance with VHA policy, and the EDRP application must be submitted within four months of your start date. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility period (one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application. Previous participants are not eligible to apply for the EDRP incentive.
