Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients through vaginal delivery and C-section support on a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit
• Care for newly delivered mothers and their newborns in a 1:1 to 2:1 patient ratio environment
• Perform transition, postpartum, and newborn care as core functions of the role
• Operate unit equipment including GE Monitors, Panda Warmers, Novi, and Neptune
• Document patient care accurately using CPN and Meditech EMR systems
• Float to Mother/Baby unit as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience in transition, postpartum, and newborn care is required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in Labor & Delivery
• Familiarity with CPN and/or Meditech EMR platforms
• Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced L&D environment
