Dental Assistant

Job Description Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in various dental systems and technologies. We strongly prefer a candidate with both front and back office experience , who can confidently support clinical care while assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment. Prepare dental instruments, equipment, and materials for treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays. Manage patient records and appointments using Dentrix Ascend. Assist with prosthodontic procedures and operate a 3D scanner for accurate imaging. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care. Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas between patients. Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies to ensure they are well‑stocked. Ensure patient comfort by addressing their concerns and making them feel at ease before, during, and after procedures. Handle front desk tasks as needed, including scheduling and managing patient inquiries. Stay current with dental assistant best practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. X‑ray certification is required. CPR certification is preferred. Minimum of 3years of experience as a dental assistant. Experience in both clinical (back office) and administrative (front office) duties is strongly preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend is preferred. Positive attitude and a team player mentality.
