A minimum of 7 years of progressive environmental remediation experience with proven successes in site characterization, remedial design and implementation, and cost-effective long-term Operation and Maintenance (O&M)A minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple environmental remediation projects and associated budgets concurrently; overall multi-project management experienceA minimum of 5 years of management of staff and/or oversight of consultants Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in environmental engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist(PG), or other relevant professional certification. Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, metals, chemical, aerospace, or corporate environmental organization. This position is responsible for managing environmental remediation projects at active, legacy and legal liability sites, through technical oversight of consultants and contractors, and interfacing with Howmet locations, corporate resources, regulatory agencies and other stakeholders on long-term strategic directions for implementing effective remedies. Reporting to the Vice President of EHS, Sustainability & Security, the Senior RemediationManager’s primary areas of focus for this role is management of site assessment, remediation and long-term Operation and Maintenance (O&M) projects at sites with contaminated soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water or sediment as a result of historic operations at current and legacy facilities and off-site disposal sites. This role closely interacts with internal customers at the Corporate (EHS, Legal, Finance), business unit, and location levels. The ideal candidate has a broad project management experience with environmental assessment, remediation design and implementation, and long-term O&M; has a proven record as an effective communicator and champion to successfully execute projects across different regulatory frameworks and has an “owner” mind-set for near-term cost control and minimizing long-term liabilities. Key Roles and Responsibilities include: Provide oversight and direction to consultants and contractors responsible for executing projects for a portfolio of sites. Manage multiple projects of varying complexity and shifting prioritiesGuide technical implementation of assessment and remediation projects to achieve the desired objectivesManage project budgets, expenditures, and schedulesReview remediation strategies and site reserves on a minimum annual basis.Oversee contractor pre-qualification, bidding, selection, and contract award process for projectsEngage with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders to secure acceptance and approval of project strategies in a timely mannerDevelop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and suppliersMaintain records in conformance with Howmet’s remediation recordkeeping and project management systems, environmental regulatory requirements, and Howmet procurement requirements and accounting standards.Design, implement and prepare various periodic reports as needed This role is based out of the corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh PA.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-23
