Must-Have: Prior travel experience and experience managing continuous IV medications is required. Experience with cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin. Experience with diuretics: Bumex, Lasix. Experience with anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin. Experience with insulin drips. Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring is a must.

Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care to adult and geriatric patients. This position involves telemetry and arrhythmia management. The role includes cardioversion and management of various cardiac conditions. Nurses will care for patients with CHF, chest pain, renal and pulmonary conditions. Management of surgical patients including cholecystectomy, appendectomy, and chest tubes is expected. There may be occasional care for vascular patients or post-cardiac catheterization patients. The patient ratio is typically 1:5-6, with a maximum daily census of 32 beds. Floating to like units within the facility may be necessary. Healthcare teams will provide interdisciplinary support, including respiratory and pharmacy services. Nurses will utilize Epic for charting and documentation. Weekend shifts are typically required every other weekend. Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start the role on time. Travelers may be required to work on major holidays during their assignment. Response time for call is 2 hours, though call is rare.
