This is a great opportunity for an experienced L&D RN who is confident caring for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum process. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment while providing safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to mothers and newborns. The RN will work closely with physicians, obstetric providers, anesthesia teams, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patients through routine and high-acuity deliveries. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Perform ongoing maternal assessments and monitor changes in patient condition. Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and uterine activity throughout labor. Recognize and respond appropriately to maternal and fetal complications and emergencies. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols. Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections as needed. Prepare patients for delivery and provide appropriate care immediately following delivery. Monitor mothers during the immediate postpartum period for complications and changes in condition. Support newborn care and collaborate with the appropriate neonatal team when needed. Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record. Communicate effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Active RN license required. Arizona RN license or applicable compact license. Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience. Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills. Experience caring for patients during labor, vaginal delivery, cesarean delivery, and postpartum recovery. Ability to recognize and respond to obstetric emergencies. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical-thinking skills. Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced L&D environment. Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
