Job Details:

• Full-scope outpatient OB/GYN Advanced Practice Provider position with a specialized focus on perimenopause and menopause care
• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based high quality perimenopause and menopause care including hormone replacement therapy and non-hormonal options
• Work collaboratively with menopause experts and leaders in OB/GYN education to deliver consultation and follow-up visits for patients referred from across the system
• Deliver holistic, quality and cost-effective care for women across the reproductive lifespan and health care continuum
• Engage in independent decision-making regarding healthcare of women including well woman care, gynecology, obstetrics (antepartum, labor, delivery and postpartum), and family planning
• Provide midlife and menopause care including hormone replacement therapy management
• Conduct annual gynecologic exams and health maintenance screenings
• Manage contraceptive care and counseling
• Screen and treat patients for STIs
• Address gynecologic problem visits and perform gynecological procedures such as LARC device insertions
• Opportunity to teach and mentor trainees
• Functions both independently and in collaboration with nurses, residents, and attending physicians, reporting to the Medical Director and Nurse Manager or Practice Manager
• Call-free, Monday through Friday schedule offering excellent work-life balance
• Labor and delivery experience required; specific experience in women's health specialty strongly preferred
• Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse-Midwifery Master's program with Advanced Practice Provider experience required
• Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut
• Menopause Certification desirable; support for obtaining certification while working is available
