Overview

East West Bank is currently seeking an SBA Portfolio Officer. This position will be responsible for the risk management of the SBA portfolio in accordance with East West Bank and US SBA policies and procedures.As an East West Bank employee, you will be part of a growing and stable organization that provides career path development opportunities while serving a growing and profitable market.

Responsibilities

Monitor, review, and recommend servicing & liquidation action on the existing SBA 7a & 504 portfolio with accordance to SBA’s SOP 50 57 and Bank’s policyAble to analyze financial data to support the risk rating and / or special loan requestsSupport SBA team by following up on tickler items, delinquent property tax, insurance policy, etc. to be following the terms of the loan Process loan sales according to the Bank’s procedure and instruction Serves as first line of defense for loans by monitoring the SBA portfolio for signs of credit deterioration and take the necessary action to collect on past due loansPrepare reports to inform SBA manager, credit supervision, and senior management on the status of the SBA portfolioAssist with audits, guarantee purchase package and other special projectsRespond promptly to internal and external inquires Cross-sell deposit, trade, treasury management, foreign exchange, private banking, asset management, and other servicesPerform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

5 years+ commercial banking experience preferredBachelor’s degree requiredIn-depth knowledge of SBA SOP 50 57 Servicing and LiquidationGood knowledge of the financial institution's commercial and consumer lending proceduresDemonstrate effective communication skills, teamwork oriented, take initiatives and a self-starterFlexible and adaptable to a dynamic environmentAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong work ethic and self-motivationStrong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsApplicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States. Compensation

The base pay range for this position is USD $71,000.00/Yr. - USD $110,000.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
