We're seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused part-time staff member to work approximately 20 hours per week, with opportunities for additional hours. Weekends are a must.

What You'll Do

Front Desk Responsibilities:

• Welcome and check in guests, process payments, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front desk area.
• Assist with museum opening and closing procedures, including daily admissions and membership sales.
• Ensure museum policies are followed.

Floor Monitor Responsibilities:

• Conduct walkthroughs of museum exhibits to ensure everything is functioning properly and areas are welcoming.
• Address visitor concerns proactively and assist in maintaining a safe, family-friendly environment.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director to uphold health and safety standards, as well as assist with the daily cleaning and upkeep of exhibits.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in customer service or working with a team in an office or similar setting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and basic computer skills.

Skills:

• Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to creating positive guest experiences.
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Sound judgment and the ability to respond appropriately in emergency situations (CPR certification is a plus).
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks efficiently.
• Spanish language proficiency is a bonus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Stamina to work on the museum floor for most of your shift.
• Ability to lift, twist, kneel, and stand for extended periods (up to 4 hours).

Work Environment:

• Operate in a lively indoor environment with moderately noisy sound levels and occasional crowded conditions.
• Use standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers) and cleaning supplies as part of daily tasks.
