Senior Cost Accountant

DescriptionKforce's client, a growing manufacturing organization located in the Lawerence, MA area, is seeking to hire a Senior Cost Accountant where you'll play a key role in cost accounting, financial analysis, inventory management, and business partnering. Summary:This position offers the opportunity to influence operational performance, support strategic decision-making, and gain exposure across a large finance organization. Key Responsibilities: * Manage standard costing processes, including materials, labor, overhead, outside processing, and yield analysis * Oversee inventory valuation, physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory controls * Lead monthly close activities related to inventory, WIP, reserves, manufacturing variances, and production reporting * Analyze revenue, costs, gross margins, and operational performance metrics * Perform warranty and reserve analyses and ensure appropriate financial reporting * Support SOX compliance, internal controls, audits, and process improvements * Develop financial models and reporting tools to support business decisions and profitability initiatives * Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis using SAP and other ERP systems * Assist with forecasting, capital planning, and ERP system implementations * Partner with operations and leadership teams to identify efficiencies and drive continuous improvementRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field * Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment * Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, and ERP systems * Experience with SAP preferredJob TypeDirect HireCompensation125000 - $125000
