About the Position: Professional position accountable for piloting aircraft used for state business. Jobs at this level perform standardized pre-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft, engines, and any other equipment installed on the aircraft and pilot-in-command duties. Employees are responsible for ensuring airworthiness of aircraft prior to each flight through performance of pre-flight inspection and research of flight history.
What you'll need to be Successful: Dependability, excellent verbal and non verbal communication skills, and excellent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and the incumbent must hold a First Class Medical initially and a Second Class Medical thereafter; 2,500 total fixed wing flight hours, 1,000 hours pilot-in-command multi-engine turbine time, 300 hours instrument time.Applicant must attach a copy of his/her valid Federal Aviation Administration Air Transport Pilot License, and a valid First Class Medical Certificate. Pilot's flight log book must be available and subject to verification.
